BCNM40: Fe'Yin Battle Info



I may as well elaborate a bit on this. I keep hearing about people getting killed in here and that bothers me. This is not a hard fight if you use the right party and some common sense.



The Party



Tank: Nin > PLD This fight lasts 9-10 minutes on average and without blink your healer will be stressed for MP. This skeleton uses a big slow sickle so your nin will have no problem. Ideally the nin will have leveled his H2H so he can contribute more damage and create a bit of extra hate. (FYI, ours used AF daggers and we still did fine)



Healer: RDM > ALL Red mage with convert has a very deep mana pool. Debuffs really help in this fight as well (Paralyze worked wonders for us. In several BCNM fights our rdm didnt even need to use convert)



Monk: We have it easy. Your innate monklines will get you through. You dont even need the uber L-40 gear (In fact it may hurt in the long run due to excess hate produced when you OWN this bastard) First few times I came in here is used purple belt and impact knuckles since I sold all my other L40 gear and still produced way too much hate. Later i tried the tourney patas just because they were cool^^.



Tactics



This is a lone skeleton that reraises itself 5 times. There is a 15 minute time limit (Have a clock in sight or a stopwatch lol) Also hate is reset each time it dies, and this is VERY important.



Ninja should use TP as soon as skeleton gets back up each time if possible... a big hit and a voke off the start really helps the hate issue. Our ninja had no emnity gear but I'm sure it would help^^.



Monk will use Tp when skeleton is below half or 1/3 life in attempt to kill it. If you have uber gear macro it before WS to totally destory it. It will die, hate will reset, and you can re-equip sissy gear again.



RDM: If convert is needed, let monk know so he will hold off on the kill. When skeleton is down to a sliver of life convert and spam heal as needed. When hate turns to the mage, the monk can knock down the skeleton and hate resets again for the next round. Remember that buffs need to be re-applied after each takedown.



The Skeleton: His first 3 forms are a darknight. Paralyze is good here. He has weak spells so Silence here is optional. He will use AOE blindness like all skeletons at this point in the game. Forms 4-5 are blackmage. He has lower HP (meter is only 80% full) but his spells are now a threat. Silence if you can.



Slow spell: I hear people complain about being slowed in this fight, and that whm or summoner haste is needed here, but I found being slow helped balanced out hate perfectly. You can even try berserk while slow, or equip some heavier hitting gear.



Final comments: Make sure all 3 people bring an orb! Since no 2-hour abilities are needed, you can do this fight back to back to back... From our experience we made 60k on worst fight, 420k on best fight. I can't tell you how to divy up the loot, but I can strongly reccomend simply selling it all and divide by 3. This way no one gets burned and you can meet again another day with 3 more orbs.
