To activate the Artifact weapon quest, head to Arrapago Reef. You start this quest, where you went to for the Corsair quest.
Warning: There is an Archaic Mirror pop near this boat. And you can thank SE for adding Guardians to the Mirrors. They are true sight and pretty tricky to get around. Lost a good 12,000 exp from these fellas. Be very careful..
Click on the ??? to get a nice cutscene.
After you get the Cutscene go to the Maze of Shakrami. Easiest if you go into the Buburimiru entrance. ( NW corner of the map. ) Go in, go straight, make a left and follow the path down. And go into the Argus room with the Iron Door. Buff up. Click on the Iron door and fight a skeleton NM called "Lost Soul". A pretty easy fight for higher levels. I solo'ed on my 75 NIN. Was a joke.
Go back to the Reef, and touch the ???. Following the ???, head to Whitegate and go to the Tea house where it all began. Talk to Rahtib and he will let you know his son needs to talk to you and to give you your shiny new gun.
Artifact 2:
Corsair's Culotte

Head back to the ??? in Arrapago Reef for another cutscene. In this cutscene they will ask you to find a Hydrogauge. To find a Hydrogauge, you can fish in Al Zahbi, Nashmau, Whitegate, or on the boat to Nashmau. It is an Ex item, therefore it can not be traded or purchased.
After you get your Hydrogauge, take it to Leleroon in Nashmau. He is the Qiqira near the NPC's that sell cards and dice for Corsair. Talk to him and he will tell you basically that your Hydrogauge is a piece of crap and needs to be charged.
Head back to Whitegate. Once in Whitegate, head out to Wajoam Woodlands and go to (G-. To the Leypoint.
After JP Midnight. (11AM EST) Go back to the point and click for a cut scene. You find out your gauge has been taken. Now you need to head back to the Reef and touch your ??? yet again. However, this time you will recieve your Corsair's Culotte.
Artifact 3:
Corsair's Tricorne
DEF:22 HP+8 STR+2

Lvl.60 COR
Down to by far the sweetest looking hat to ever inhabit this game. Head to Whitegate and go to Rahtib once more in the Tea House. He will give you a key item and this is your access to the BCNM fight for your hat.
Head to Dvucca Isle Staging Point. Once you're here head out into Caederva Mire and run straight basically to the entrance of the Reef. ( Entrance 3 if you use http://www.ffxi-atlas.com maps )
Once in go straight and to the right. You will see a ship, walk up to it and get a Cut scene. After the cut scene walk to the ship itself. When ready click on the "Cutter" to enter the BCNM. Uncapped, 6 people.
I fought it with 5 just to test it. 75 MNK 75 NIN 75 THF 75 WHM 63 SMN
You fight a Hume WAR and a Galka BLU. Was a joke. It's pretty easy.. but of course I had higher level characters assisting me. ( I was the NIN.. ) You don't have to be on COR to get the cutscene / BC.
Artifact 4 - 6
Once you complete your AF2 and start the AF3 quest you can head to Nashmau and talk to Leleroon. ( Qiqira near the Corsair dice/Card selling npc. ) He will give you a choice of AF. Choose an AF and he will give you a letter to go along with it. Take the letter to the according city. You will only be able to complete one every real life day. After JP Midnight, (11AM EST) You will be able to go onto the next. Just as a little warning, this isn't cheap. I've spent well over a million gil on the materials.
Windurst: So you chose the gloves. Head to the southern map of Windurst Waters, There is a door on the first floor of the house at D-7. Examine it for a cut scene. You will need to bring the following:
-Gold Thread
-Karakul Leather
-Red Grass Cloth
-Spool of Wamoura Silk
-4 Imperial Mythril Coins

Bastok: So you chose the boots. Head to (I-7) and click on the door on the second floor of Bastok Mines. Examine it for a cut scene. You will need to bring the following:
-Karukul Leather
-Mithril Sheet
-Laminated Buffalo Leather (Buffalo Leather, Distilled Water, Animal Glue, Earth Crystal )
-Wolf Felt (Wolf Furx3, Sheep Woolx3, Manticore Hair, Distilled Water, Fire Crystal )
-4 Imperial Mythril Coins

San'doria: Finally, the COR AF Body. Head to Port San'doria and go to where else, but the Rusty Anchor's Pub. Talk to Raqtibahl and he will ask you for the following:
-Gold Chain
-Velvet Cloth
-Red Grass Cloth
-Sailcloth (5x Grass Thread, 1x Rainbow Thread, Earth Crystal)
-1 Imperial Gold Coin
