This info from the latest issue of Famitsu (out this Friday in Japan).
Lots of people wanted a pirate / gambler-type job and Square has responded, it seems.
New job: Corsair
Looks like a pirate. Pics of Elvaan and Mithra wearing AF.
Hat is black, clothes are brown.
Weapon is gun with hexagonal barrel.
Support allies with bullets. It's a party support job, not attacker anyway.
Job ability: Gamble Technique.
New Area:
Aht Uhrgan Empire: looks like San d'Oria
It's the new Jeuno... includes AH, rental house, guards. They want to add chocobos too.
There's talk of monster invasions for this area too.
Divided into three areas: king's area, surrounding area and people's area
New monsters:
Kutourb: male mummy
Marlid: mammoth
Chigo: small parasite

From the interview in Famitsu last week, it sounds like they're making something that's only for high level players, very challenging, but easy to access. It totally sounds like the new city, Ahl Xabi, is meant to take high level players away from Jeuno.
The best addition for low level people will be the influx of players trying out the new jobs. Corsair sounds like a new-school Bard, but totally luck based so there'll be plenty of party-bitching I'm sure Wonder if they'll make LCK an official stat now.

A ギャンブラーを入れようと思ったが海外では「ギャンブラー」の印象が悪くコルセアにした。見た目は海賊だがギャンブラーっぽい要素が基本
Q 短銃がメイン武器？
A 狩人が使う威力の高い武器ではなくPT補助や強化ができるような銃
Q アタッカーではない！？
A ジョブコンセプトは補助や強化が基本
Q ギャンブルテクニックも補助的要素？
A そういう要素もある。ギャンブルなので使う人によっては「あのコルセアは運が悪い！」とか

皇都アルザビ
「皇民街区」・・貴族層が住む。エルがおおい。最初のうちはプレイヤーは入れない
「辺民街区」・・いろんな種族がいる。商人や職人でにぎわう
「人民街区」・・ヒュムが多い。市民権のない住人、剥奪された元皇民がくらす。獣人の脅威にさらされている
Q アトルガンにあわせた大型VUはある？
A 新ジョブ関連のアイテムとかはアトルガンがないユーザーもVUが必要。ゲーム全体にかかわるシステム変更は当日に
Q X３６鯖はどう？
A すでにｌｖ５０とかいる。もともとJPは既存ユーザーの乗り換えや復帰、欧米やとくに欧州は新規ユーザーを目指す
Q ３月のNAイベントはなにするの？
A ２日間やる。ゲーム内では通常手に入らないアイテム配布も予定。日本のユーザー向けに別途イベントを検討中
コルセア見た目
・エル、ヒュム髭が似合いすぎ
・ミスラは胸が開いていてエロイ。しっぽの出方は中川さんの好みっぽい
